Growing up in Texas, Caren McNelly McCormack watched many friends celebrate their quinceañeras (15th birthday parties). She is an award winning author for Highlights for Children and other publications. The Fiesta Dress is her first picture book. She lives in Los Altos, California, whith her husband and two daughters, who all love a good fiesta.
